...saturday was absolutely gorgeous here...mr. paisley even worked in the yard in short sleeves...so can you believe we had terrible thunderstorms yesterday and woke to SNOW this morning?????...mother nature is being extremely fickle...

...and can you believe the cyst on my little finger is worse than it was before?...i understood that it might fill back up after being drained last week...that maybe i would have to have it drained every other month or so until it was determined that it would either stop filling up or surgery is needed...but it's only been 5 days!...ouch...i'm patiently waiting for the doctor's office to open this morning so i can call and update them...

...i really wanted to sew this weekend, but i can sew with a sore pinkie or not......crocheting not so much...so i thought i better get my (5) pot holders done for the crochet pot holder swap just in case...:

...i am pleased with the way they turned out...but mercy, i must be slower than the average crocheter?...i was on flickr over the weekend and saw this same design posted by someone else...their take on it was - easy-peasy and can be done in under an hour!...yikes!...for me?...not so easy and at least a little under 2 1/2 hours per each one...that's not counting the time spent ripping out the borders when i got the petals folded wrong on EVERY SINGLE ONE...sigh...that's okay...i still enjoyed making them......:

...i'm off to call the doctor...and i have a few errands to run today though the snow makes me want to just stay cuddled up at home in my jammies all day......is it spring where you're at yet?????...

I hope the doctor has some solution for you! We woke up to rain, then thundersnow and who knows what else is coming today. This is spring??

Okay, I've just been at Nanette's blog and saw that lovely sweater Shelbie made and now I pop in to your blog and you've made these lovely crocheted potholders!! It's fun to see the projects you two post because I can't crochet or knit but know the amount of time it takes to do both! Your potholders are too pretty to use and I think if they were coming my way, I would frame them as art!!

Best at the doctor. The potholders are so pretty and look very well done. I don't think I could make one of those in an hour.

Those turned out just lovely! It's better that you take longer to make them than those fast crocheters out there, because you get to enjoy the process longer! Does that make you feel better? :)

Your potholders are beautiful! I don't stress on how long it takes meto do things. Everyone has their own take on 'easy'. I think knitting takes forever to do anything! I have a friend who can do a sock in an evening...took me 2 months to do a bsic scarf!

ENJOYING what you do is most important.

Cutest potholders - and don't ever compare the time it takes to make anything with what someone else says. You are doing it for your own personal enjoyment - not a competition. Good luck at the doctor. No spring in MN yet...everything was white yesterday including the ice on the lake.

Under an hour, huh? I don't think I could do that either. Sure hope your finger gets better. We have the same weather you have, just a few hours later. So...no spring here either. It's going to be a nice Easter though, so cheer up!

It must be frustrating for you that the pinkie is no better, maybe even worse. Let's hope it can be fixed short of amputation -that would really make it hard to crochet!!! Those pot holders are so pretty and you did a wonderful job on them with your sore hand - lucky the people who receive them!

That finger thing is what is slowing you down! No really. I don't know anyone that could make those in a half hour. They turned out really cute though. Love them and the 3d thing going on there.

So sorry about your finger! Not fair at all... and snow to boot. Hmmmmm... it can only get better, right?

The potholders have turned out very well. Doesn't matter if you are slower than others, you are in there actually doing it! Give yourself a big pat on the back!

Big Hugs - Shari

Mother Nature is so unpredictable. At least this time of year. I am sorry to hear that your finger is not doing any better. Hopefully the doc will be able to help out this time. You are masterful at those pot holders. They are beautiful, even if they did take you a little longer... no worries.

NO! We had spring on Sunday (81F) but it is expected to be 32F tonight and 28F tomorrow night. I have been complaining all over blogland tonight.

Gosh, T,that's a lot to deal with...and you're still creative while persevering through the pinkie. Hope that comes to a resolution soon and not months down the road. A big A plus on those potholders.

your potholders are very nice. i like how the variegated yarn works up in this pattern. yet another Spring is passing by and i have not stopped quilting to learn how to use that crochet hook. even if i knitted a simple cloth i am not that quick.

Great job on the potholders. Love all the different colors.

OMG - you are so fast, Terri! I'm only about half way done now on my potholders! Your's are gorgeous - make mine look kinda dreary - hmmmm - maybe I need a better pattern!!
Cheers!

Hello my purple and paisley friend!

Your crochet flowers are gorgeous! I so want to learn to crochet, I've tried several times but haven't got past very uneven chains!

I just read the funnies in your next post, they're great! Love the "peep show".

Have a wonderful Easter. My word verification is "loonhare", hope there isn't too many of those on the loose! :-)

Thank you! I got one of these and it is just gorgeous. I tried making them myself and I couldn't seem to get them folded in a way that made me feel like I was able to do the border rows.
